The social construction of facts

Subjective opinions are becoming more and more important to the point that fact and fiction is becoming hard to tease apart. We urgently need to behave as “fact checkers” to the sake of out the democracy and the health of our institutions. But how we do it?

In order to complement our last post on biased information, we invite you to watch the TED Talks below with Massimo Maoret, an Assistant Professor in the Strategic Management at IESE Business School, to think about how social networks have blurred the lines between fiction and facts.

Even though the video was recorded almost 4 years ago, considering the context we are now living, the subject has never been more needed to be discussed.
